GATHERING ARDER ÉPICA

Reinaldo Ribeiro

Saturday 9 May 17h
City of Culture | Gaiás Centre Museum, Espazo REGA 2

The journey in red continues. Reinaldo Ribeiro returns to Santiago in 2026 to ignite the final piece of his trilogy: ARDER ÉPICA. As a prelude to the performance, he invites you to a gathering the day before (Saturday 9 May), where conversation and listening weave together what has been presented, what has been lived, and what is yet to burn.

Would you like to make a collage?

There is a table set. A tablecloth spread out like a common field. Fruit, paper, scissors, cuttings from other times. A red space, beating softly, waiting.

We invite you to a ritual of after-dinner conversation and scissors. A place where words do not ask permission, and memory is built with the hands.

There is no proscenium here, no script. Only chairs that move according to need: moving closer to cut an image, stepping back to look from afar, returning to the conversation as it flows, to the questions that may arise.

Bring your memory, your silence, your desire to cut and paste.

Perhaps what remains will be an ember turned image — an epic fragment of what we decide together to preserve, or to let become fertile ash.

NOTE: This gathering will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at REGA Space 2, Museo Centro Gaiás, and is specifically addressed to women, with a maximum of 15 participants. Those interested can register until April 30 by contacting the organization at escenasdocambio.cdc@xunta.gal.
