I’m not a hero
FluctusI’m not a hero addresses the theme of heroism and its contemporary manifestations through physical theatre:
an audience seated in a circle, two bodies mingling, two stories brushing against each other, the whole thing drowning in a well of good intentions.
Starting from the assumption that being a hero or heroine today is the act of stepping out of one’s comfort zone to act in everyday situations in which the other would need help, Kevin Blaser and Faustino Blanchut (authors and performers on stage) question the forces that act in the opposite direction. The title of the show refers to the excuse behind which one hides in order not to expose oneself, in order not to run the risk of being vulnerable and to justify the inability to emerge, at times, from a passivity that allows one to remain in the comfort and warmth of anonymity.
Meeting point: REGA 1 (next to Gaiás Centre Museum). Access to the Service Gallery through the Literary Garden.
Fluctus
Created in 2018 by Kevin Blaser, Fluctus is a company that draws on the most raw cores of theatre, movement and performance to stage its works.
After several years of artistic collaborations, in 2022 Faustino Blanchut joins Kevin Blaser as co-artistic director of the company, giving strength to an artistic vision with shared horizons.
Together, the two artists explore new forms of theatrical expression geared towards the contemporary, with the aim of experimenting without becoming creators for an elite.
The company has a strong presence in Switzerland, and its work has already created international interest, with performances in Italy, Spain and France, demonstrating an ability to overcome linguistic and cultural boundaries.
