Meeting Comando Dramatúrxico

Sunday 11 May 4 p.m.
City of Culture | Gaiás Centre Museum, Floor 0

The Comando Dramatúrxico [Dramaturgic Command] invites you to a special meeting in its second year of action and growth. A diverse team, led by writer, playwright, and professor Afonso Becerra de Becerreá. The Comando Dramatúrxico is a laboratory/school that accompanies the festival by amplifying the artistic experience of the program designed by Kirenia Martínez Acosta. This amplification builds bridges between performances and audiences, fosters reflection through active listening and analysis, proposes actions that enhance artistic experiences, and leaves lasting testimonies to be shared with those unable to attend the festival and with future generations.

In this activity, the Comando will offer some insights into its dramaturgical adventure, creating a space to explore the interconnections between festivals, territories, and people, with the presence of artists from the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and Colombia. We will also witness the revelation of unpublished and unexpected aspects from the artists involved in this edition of Escenas do Cambio. Additionally, we will explore the concept of “Lostopía” through a collective thinking game.

Beforehand, you will also be able to meet the Comando Dramatúrxico at the Gaiás Centre Museum on Friday, May 9, starting at 1:15 p.m. This will be a first opportunity to share impressions about the beginning of the festival with artists, production and distribution professionals, and also with the public, in a gathering open to anyone interested in contemporary performing arts.
