To discover the dark without exposing it, and to turn where inside becomes outside. Appearance or disappearance? Things are united by the insignificance of their opposition, and like all opposites confronted, there is nothing to reconcile. It is simply a matter of lighting. When the light moves, a surface is revealed. When a hole is moved, a surface is invented. So do not ask yourself what you should see, but where your place is.
Alejandra Pombo
On the frontier of visual arts, cinema, and performing arts, Alejandra Pombo (Santiago de Compostela, 1979) presents her latest work Adelante la selva, which she defines as a cinematic experience. Alejandra Pombo (Santiago de Compostela, 1979) graduated in Visual Arts at the School of Fine Arts of the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She furthered her academic studies in Barcelona with a Master’s Degree in Digital Arts at the Pompeu Fabra University and studying the PEI (Programme of Independent Studies) at the MACBA. She is currently preparing her doctoral dissertation. As an artist, she moves between performance, poetry and experimentation with moving images.
