Ant Hampton, in the meantime, will introduce us to self-theatre, reflecting on audience participation from a different standpoint. At a time when participation seems to be the only thing of importance, Hampton proposes an emancipated theatre that is far from the kind of community theatre we know of. 

Ant Hampton (1975) founded Rotozaza in 1998, a project which explores the use of instructions given to unrehearsed “guest performers”, directly on stage and in more intimate formats, in which the performers are the audience themselves (Autoteatro). Between 1999 and 2009 Rotozaza collaborated with Silvia Mercuriali.The Ant Hampton Self-Concept project continues to develop today, with 7 productions in more than 35 different language versions.
